Tamkang University

Tamkang University (TKU) offers a dynamic and bustling campus experience, largely defined by its massive student body and its stunning location in the Tamsui District. The vibe is energetic and youthful, with a palpable sense of community. With over 25,000 students, the main campus feels like a self-contained "City of Colleges," where there's always something happening. The culture is a unique blend of academic focus and social engagement, heavily influenced by its over 200 student clubs and societies. Whether your interest is in robotics, debate, traditional dance, or international affairs, you'll find a welcoming group. Students at Tamkang are known for being open-minded and globally aware, partly due to the university's strong emphasis on internationalization, which brings a significant number of international students to campus. This creates a diverse, multicultural environment where different perspectives are shared and celebrated. The campus itself, famous for its "Eight Sceneries," including a beautiful maritime sunset view, fosters a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. The sloping architecture means a lot of walking up and down stairs, but it also provides incredible vistas and a sense of grandeur.
