Shihezi University

Shihezi University, located in Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, is a key university under the national "211 Project" and a "Double First-Class" university. Its predecessor can be traced back to the First Army Corps Health School of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, founded in 1949 by the First Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. After several mergers and developments, it was formed in 1996 by the merger of the former Shihezi Agricultural College, Shihezi Medical College, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Teachers' College, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Economic College.
