Blaise Pascal University (UBP) was originally a public university in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne, France, named after the renowned mathematician, physicist, and philosopher Blaise Pascal. Officially established in 1976, its history traces back to the University of Clermont in the mid-19th century. UBP is renowned for its excellence in teaching and research in the natural sciences, exact sciences, humanities, social sciences, sports sciences, and technology. The university is committed to cultivating students' critical thinking and innovation abilities and has achieved significant academic success in many disciplines. Its research laboratories actively participate in national and international collaborative projects, contributing to scientific progress and social development. In 2017, Blaise Pascal University merged with the University of Auvergne to form the University of Clermont-Auvergne (UCA), but its original academic heritage and professional strengths have been continued and developed in the new university. Clermont-Ferrand is a vibrant university town with a rich cultural heritage and beautiful natural scenery, especially renowned for its volcanic landscape and the Chaîne des Puys, providing students with a unique learning and living environment. For international students, UBP (now UCA) offers high-quality education at relatively low tuition fees, while also providing an authentic French cultural and lifestyle experience. The university emphasizes international exchange and cooperation, attracting students and scholars from around the world. Although Blaise Pascal University no longer exists as an independent entity, its spirit and academic traditions continue to flourish at the University of Clermont-Auvergne, providing students with a broad platform for academic development and abundant learning resources.
